Softball Manitoba provides three, $500.00 bursaries to successful applicants each year listed below.
SOFTBALL MANITOBA BURSARY (Athletes only)
This Bursary is to be presented by Softball Manitoba to a student/athlete who has demonstrated highly successful competitive experience at a national and/or provincial and/or regional level. The value of the Bursary shall be $500.00.
Must be a resident of Manitoba (includes approved Saskatchewan and NW Ont. athletes registered in MB). To apply the Applicant must be twenty one (21) years of age or less during the current year.
Must be a registered player with Softball Manitoba Fast Pitch/Minors for the current year plus the two years previous to the year in which the Bursary is awarded.
Must be attending a Post Secondary Institute of Learning for the first time.
EUGENE MICHALOW MEMORIAL BURSARY (Athletes only)
This Bursary is to be presented by Softball Manitoba to a student/athlete who exhibits exemplary sportsmanship and dedication to Softball. The value of the Bursary shall be $500.00.
Must be a resident of Manitoba (includes approved Saskatchewan and NW Ont. athletes registered in MB). To apply the Applicant must be twenty one (21) years of age or less during the current year.
Must be a registered player with Softball Manitoba Fast Pitch/Minors for the current year plus the two years previous to the year in which the Bursary is awarded.
Must be attending a Post Secondary Institute of Learning for the first time.
ASHLEY NEUFELD MEMORIAL BURSARY (Athletes/Coaches)
This Bursary is to be presented by Softball Manitoba to a athlete/coach who exhibits exemplary sportsmanship and dedication to Softball. The value of the Bursary shall be $500.00.
Must be a resident of Manitoba (includes approved Saskatchewan and NW Ont. athletes/coaches registered in MB). To apply the Applicant must be twenty-three (23) years of age or less during the current year.
Must be a registered player/coach with Softball Manitoba for the current year plus the two years previous to the year in which the Bursary is awarded.
Must be attending a Post Secondary Institute of Learning for the first time or completing a degree/diploma. Proof of full-time enrolment at such an institution will be required.
