Adult & Teen Learn to Skate

It’s not too late to learn to skate or brush up on your skating!   All ages 13 and up welcome!!  No prior skating experience required.  It’s a small group lesson.

 

We have two classes to choose from:

Thursday evenings from 9:00 pm to 9:45 pm

Thursday afternoons from 2:30 pm to 3:15 pm (New!!)

Free Public Skating from October to March

Saturdays from 3:45 pm – 5:15 pm

Wednesdays 11:15 am – 12:30 pm

excluding all holidays

No sticks or pucks

Helmets are recommended

East St Paul’s Ruth Hermann presented with IMRA Builder Award

Congratulations to ESPCC’s volunteer extraordinare, Ruth Hermann was presented with the Interlake Municipal Recreation Association Builder Award at an awards dinner and AGM in Winnipeg Beach on September 22, 2016.

Hermann has been a passionate volunteer in the community, committing countless hours to the RM’s figure skating and soccer programs over the years. Since 1999, Hermann has volunteered with the ESP Skating Club and has held every board position, currently serving as president, a position that requires year-round dedication, as there are activities throughout the year. Hermann also established the Canskate program. In 2002, Hermann began volunteering with the East St. Paul Soccer program and she has coached teams from U5 to U18. She is the RM’s soccer convenor, a position on she took on in 2011.

Pre-Powerskating Classes

East St Paul Skating Club has just added a pre-power skating class that is geared toward skating skills for hockey and ringetter players, aged 7 to 10 years old.  No sticks, pucks or rings, equipment is optional (skaters choice).  Skills that will be worked on included forward and backward skating, stopping, turning, as well as agility and balance skills.

 

There are only 4 spots left in this program, so don’t hesitate.   Classes run until March 16th, 2017

Daytime Learn to Skate Program

East St Paul Skating Club has only 6 spots left in our Daytime Learn to Skate programs!  Two spots at 1:30 pm and 4 spots at 2:00 pm.  These are 30 minute sessions, with two hands on professional coaches.  A great time of day for preschoolers and children who will attend morning Kindergarten.

Cheques made payable to ESPCC and must be dropped off at or before ice slot
