The Manitoba Cycling Association hosted a pair of road cycling test events at Birds Hill Provincial Park on May 13th. The events took place at the same courses to be used for the upcoming Canada Summer Games, and for some of the competitors, it was good practice. East St Paul had several participants in the races.
Scott English, riding for Team Manitoba, finished 3rd in his race. Scott was also the top Canada Games-eligible rider out of the nine in the event. Scott’s team Matthew Boyle, also from East St Paul finishing 15 minutes later. Cody Brown, riding for Devo Manitoba, rallied from 18th place after lap two and finished in second in his race. Maia Dalling, riding for Devo Manitoba, finished 8th amongst women and 20th overall, only finishing 14 minutes behind the leader.
Congratulations to all the East St Paul participants in the Canada Games Test event. Good luck to all at the Canada Games this summer.
